Keeping your loved ones safe when you're not there

As we get older, we can get a little more vulnerable to accidents and falls, both around the home and when we’re out and about.

At Eldercare, we can create a custom-designed support system that uses various kinds of fixed and mobile emergency monitoring, sensors (not cameras!), and procedures pre-agreed with the family to ensure a quick and appropriate response should anything happen when you’re not around.

So you can rest assured that wherever you or your loved ones happen to be, the right kind of help is always on hand when you need it.

Smart, simple technology that you can rely on

Currently, there are 1.7 million people across the UK who are benefitting from some form of telecare, using simple, but proven, technologies to help them to live independently, manage their own wellbeing and make everyday life more comfortable.

These technologies are especially effective in automatically detecting falls and issues around the home, managing medication, and in supporting individuals and families living with dementia. They’re easy to use, effective and reliable, and come with built-in peace of mind.

Safety Monitoring in the home and out of it

The technology enabled services we can offer you include personal alarm systems and panic buttons, help with managing medicines and detecting when somebody has got out of their bed or chair, or left the house when it may not be safe for them to do so alone.

We can provide sensors that detect smoke, gas and extremes of temperature, and automatically alert us and you that something may be amiss. And for people who want to keep active, we can help them to keep safe with a range of mobile safety solutions that as well as sending alerts, can pinpoint exactly where people are using GPS.

All of this is facilitated by our Emergency Response Centre, managed by highly trained operators who are available 24/7, 365 days a year and always ready to come to your loved ones’ aid.

Checking that they’re OK without intruding

Clearly, when older people are living on their own, it may be vitally important to have emergency monitoring and alerts in place. But what about every day, when you may be at work or busy looking after younger members of the family, but still want some reassurance that your loved ones are OK?

For these circumstances, we provide a range of what we call ‘light touch services’ that deliver the re-assurance and peace of mind that you need, but are discreet and unobtrusive. There are a variety of these services to choose from and they can all work in tandem with our personal alarm and emergency monitoring systems.

Check out our emergency response services. The failsafe when there’s no one around who can help

However much you try to be there for Mum, Dad or other loved ones, you can’t be around every second of the day and, especially when family and friends move apart, it can be difficult to know who to call on to come and help quickly when the need arises. This is another area where we can offer you support.

In certain parts of the country, we deliver emergency response services, with teams of highly trained emergency responders who can be with your loved one, usually within 30 minutes of them summoning for help.

As soon as they arrive, our staff will assess the situation and sensitively and sympathetically take the required action. This can be anything from helping you back on your feet after a fall and sitting with you until you feel better, or something more serious like summoning the doctor or emergency services.

We can also provide emergency personal care should this be needed and will let family and friends know what has happened and how the situation has been or is being resolved.

For a free telephone assessment, call our Customer Services Team now on 0345 603 4576

Because we know that everyone’s circumstances are different, we offer a free assessment, conducted over the telephone, so that together we can arrive at a tailored care plan that will deliver the right outcomes for you and your loved ones. Lines are open Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
