Expert Care Advice

One of our advisers will arrange to call the employee at a convenient time to talk them through any questions or concerns they have, such as:

  • Assessing the needs of their relative
  • Weighing up the pros and cons of various care options
  • Knowing what to expect from the NHS and their local authority
  • Discharging their relative from hospital
  • Managing any healthcare costs

The adviser will follow up the conversation with further details and resources to help them make an informed decision.

Care and Support at Home

This service enables the employee to arrange the practical support their relative may require in the home to make home life more comfortable and worry-free. This includes carers who can home-visit to provide companionship, personal assistance and supervise medication. However, we also have access to a network of over 60,000 vetted tradespeople – covering cleaners, plumbers, electricians, gardeners and other ‘handy’ professional service providers. All the employee has to do is tell the team the service they need and in which geographic area. They will identify a suitable contact, check availability and put them in touch. The employee then settles any cost directly with the provider. In time, we can also help the employee commission a bespoke care search to find a suitable care or nursing home for their relative, should the need eventually arise.

Alerts and Emergency Products

We can supply a range of easy-to-use practical products that give the employee the comfort of knowing their relative can reach help instantly if they need to. One of the most popular of these is our personal alarm. We provide 24/7, 365 days a year alarm monitoring with an operator able to take immediate and appropriate action any time your relative might need it. Six weeks personal alarm monitoring comes as part of the service package. This service is valuable all year round but may be especially appreciated when normal routines are disrupted, such as when caregivers take holidays or business trips. They can choose from some more sophisticated devices that, among other things, can track daily routines (and alert when things are unusual) or detect falls or that an accident may have occurred causing a flood or fire. The Customer Care Team will carry out an assessment, by phone, to work out the most suitable products to achieve the outcomes families are looking for. Once everyone is in agreement, they can supply or arrange specialist installation.
