Our control centre systems offer a comprehensive service for hard-wired sheltered schemes and community-based dispersed alarms and telecare, alongside a wide variety of different types of technologies. Our Control Centre staff are highly trained to deal with a wide variety of situations in an effective and empathic manner, and will ensure that each and every call is handled to the highest standard. We have a complete back-up disaster recovery centre that can accommodate our services during extreme situations. We are able to offer our clients disaster recovery services, either by hosting their equipment in a secure environment, providing planned call-handling or disaster ‘roll-over’ facilities.

Telecare and Assistive Technology

We provide telecare services for many local authorities and are able to tailor the service to fit every authority’s individual demographic or geographic needs. We are able to help our local authority clients in the introduction and development of telecare where, making the most of available funds, we can initiate the system throughout the region and then assist with the transition of local authority-aided customers becoming private clients or funded through their personal budgets.

We are able to provide project management assistance and full training packages, alongside the promotion and mainstreaming of assistive technology within a region. Also, we are able to provide a full assistive technology service on behalf of the local authority; including assessment and reviews, equipment procurement, installation and technical support.

Emergency Response

The role of the emergency mobile response team is to work with the control centre to deliver a support service direct to the customer’s home. All teams are chosen for their relevant locality and so are within easy reach of customers, and we operate mobile response services right across the North West and in a variety of areas across the UK. The emergency response teams are trained to deal with sensitive and emergency situations and will liaise with the control centre, emergency services, family and friends as required. Where possible, we aim to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of a call being received. We also provide enhanced services such as ‘falls pick-up’, moving and handling and emergency personal care, ensuring that our service users get the service that they require at the time when they need it most.


We understand that, when it comes to technology, a ‘one size fits all’ approach will not work. We know that in order to deliver a personalised service to the client that reflects and responds to their needs and wishes, there has to be flexibility in the selection of the equipment used and supplied. Eldercare works with a wide variety of different manufacturers to ensure that we can always source the best possible piece of equipment to meet an individual’s needs. Our fundamental principle of focusing on person-centred solutions where possible means that we extend our understanding of alternative solutions constantly. This approach of ‘keeping abreast with technology’ in the wider market means that we are able to disseminate this to our customers if they wish to engage in this process. We are fully engaged in the switch to digital technologies and will be there to support our customers every step of the way in this ever-changing market.
