The base unit that connects from the home to the Control Centre
The Eldercare Alarm is designed to enable an individual to be able to contact help should they require it, simply at the touch of a button. Working through the telephone line, the unit dials through to our Emergency Response Centre when activated and our highly trained operators are always on hand to ensure that help is soon on its way to the user.
Who is it for?
The Eldercare alarm unit is ideal for anybody that is at risk of falling or becoming unwell and spends any time alone within their property. It ensures that the user can always get hold of somebody should they need to and also provides great peace of mind for their family and friends.
How does it work?
If the unit is activated, by either the personal trigger or any of the peripherals activating, it will send a message down the telephone line to the Emergency Response Centre. The staff will then immediately know the location of the unit, the service user’s details and which piece of equipment has activated. They will then follow the procedure identified for that individual, either contacting their family and friends, the local mobile response service or the emergency services.
The unit has a built in two-way speaker so that the response centre can speak to the user if they are within audible range and reassure them that help is on its way.
Units can also be programmed to play recorded messages at certain times, perhaps to remind an individual that it is time to take their medication or attend an appointment.
