Detects leaks or floods in the home
The Flood Detector in installed within the bathroom or kitchen of a property and provides an early warning of flood situations within the home. The unit is placed on the floor underneath a sink, bath or toilet and will detect water in the case of an overflow.
Who is it for?
Ideal for those who have cognitive or memory impairment and may be at a risk of leaving their taps on. The flood detector will ensure that the alarm is raised as soon as water is detected on the floor so that the taps can be turned off quickly before further damage is caused.
How does it work?
If water is detected by the sensor it will provide a loud audible warning to the user and automatically send an emergency alarm signal through the Dispersed Alarm Unit or Carer Pager to a local carer.
Flood Detectors can either be attached to the skirting board of the kitchen or bathroom, or left freestanding.
