Detects heat within the property
The Heat Detector will detect when the temperature within the property reaches too high a level or if there is a rapid increase in temperature which may indicate a fire.
Who is it for?
- Useful for those who have cognitive or memory impairment who may be unable to raise the alert themselves in the event of a fire within the property.
- Those for those with physical or mental impairment who would require additional help in exiting the property in the case of a fire.
- Provides additional support for those who may be at a high risk of fire in their home due to smoking or misuse of appliances.
- For those who are at high risk of fire in their kitchen and may have issues with a smoke detector falsely activating.
- Those who smoke heavily and are likely to have issues with a smoke detector falsely activating
- Those who have issues with regulating the temperature within their property.
How does it work?
In certain locations of a property, the kitchen for example, it can be found that smoke detectors give too many false activations, therefore a device used to detect heat rather than smoke can be far more appropriate. The sensor will sound loudly within the user’s property and put a call through the alarm unit to the Emergency Response Centre, who will then respond appropriately.
